The teacher did not make the call on the spur of the moment. She was well aware that her phone call could be construed as unwarranted interfering with the call of another party. Her resolve was strengthened, though, as she remembered Camden’s glum expression on the playground. No matter what occurred, she was determined to assist the youngster, even if it meant going against the rules. Nancy didn’t want to offend Darreld, so she chose her words carefully when she asked her question. She was simply hoping that calling him was the correct decision. When Nancy’s father finally responded, she realized that she needed to take action quickly.

Uniformed Strangers Paying Visits
Nancy had never heard of anything remotely like to Camden’s problem at home before. Apparently, uniformed strangers had been paying frequent visits to the small boy’s home during the previous month or so. This matter appeared to be significantly more serious than a simple disagreement between two people, and it appeared to have a legal component. Camden was concerned and afraid that his father might be taken away from him yet again. Nancy knew she had to help, even if she wasn’t sure how she could do so. She just knew she had to.
