Boundaries
Nancy was well aware that she should refrain from interfering in the personal affairs of her students in her capacity as a teacher. After many years of teaching, she had witnessed far too many instances of this kind of events devolving out of control and resulting in psychological damage and suffering to the children involved. When she spoke with Camden that day, she could tell that he was incredibly confused and stressed as a result of the events that had taken place at his house. It didn’t appear as though the toddler was able to comprehend what was going on.

A Difficult Decision
The instructor had a responsibility to assist this family, particularly her young and vulnerable student Camden, but she was unsure whether she would be able to assist them as much as she would have liked. The kindergarten instructor was a favorite of the small guy. He was certain that his favorite teacher was the one person who could assist him. He was right. Nancy had promised her pupil that she would do everything she could to try to make things better, and she meant it when she said she would. Even if she ended up in trouble herself, she would still go out of her way to assist him. However, before she could commit to doing so, she had to make a difficult decision that she could not ignore.
