Adam felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up, thinking that his father would go to great measures to hide this diary if it contained something significant. Adam turned the pages of the journal and found the final entry. His father had sent him a message, and his eyes grew wide. It seemed like his dad anticipated Adam’s future arrival in search of the journal, key, and trailer.

Really, what did he owe his father? The man was attempting to entice his kid into a mystery, having abandoned him when he was a young boy.
