JOHN CLEESE – 81 YEARS OLD
The Edinburgh Event Fringe, billed as the world’s largest festival, gave John Cleese a foothold in the industry. He used his writing skills to The Frost Report and appeared in the satirical show as well. Cleese rose to prominence after joining the Monty Python troupe. The comedic group produced films such as The Meaning of Life and Life of Brian. He rose to prominence alongside his former wife, Connie Booth, when he co-wrote and starred in Fawlty Towers. He’s set to feature in Father Christmas is Back and Clifford the Big Red Dog in 2021.
BOB DYLAN – 80 YEARS OLD
The counterculture of the 1960s had many supporters, and Bob Dylan was one of the movement’s forerunners. It was reflected in the songs he wrote, such as The Times They Are A-Changin’ and Blowin’ In The Wind. Fans thought he sold out when he switched to an electric guitar in 1966, but it had no effect on his appeal. Dylan’s 39th studio album, Rough and Rowdy Ways, was released in 2020. In February 2021, Columbia Records published 1970, a three-CD set including sessions made by George Harrison and Dylan in the early 1970s.
