GLYNIS JOHNS – 97 YEARS OLD
Glynis Johns, who was born in South Africa to touring musicians, was destined for a career in show business. She was so inventive with her work that she developed the character Desiree Armfeldt for an already known play called A Little Night Music. She played the role so well that she received a Tony Award for it. In Mary Poppins, she played Winifred Banks with Dick Van Dyke and Dame Julie Andrews. She was also nominated for an Oscar for her performance in the 1960 picture The Sundowners. Johns, who retired in 1999, is the oldest living Oscar nominee.
DIANA ROSS – 77 YEARS OLD
Diana Ross is well-liked by both the music industry and fans all over the world. The Supremes were a popular female group in the 1960s, and she rose to prominence as its lead singer. Ross went solo in the 1970s, giving us feel-good songs like “I’m Coming Out.” The 77-year-old diva is still active in the music industry, and in 2020, she published Supertonic: Instrumental Mixes, which included nine of her biggest hits. The songs, including Love Hangover and Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, were remixed by Eric Kupper. Her Top of the World Tour is set to begin in 2021.
