Diane Neal landed a great role in Law & Order: SVU’s fifth season, and she’ll be playing Assistant District Attorney Casey Novak for the first time. In the show’s sixth season, her character would be resurrected. She had a troubled storyline in NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans, where she joined the force after serving in Iraq and losing a loved one. Her character and Agent Leroy Gibbs (played by Mark Harmon) shared a lot of similarities in the show.
