Matt Lauer hosted The Today Show for 20 years before he was fired. He was well-known and successful as a television host, and he covered significant events all around the world. However, in 2017, claims of unethical workplace behavior appeared. Lauer was fired quickly. Despite this, he has stated that all meetings were extramarital relationships in which both parties actively participated. This anecdote influenced The Morning Show in part. The show premiered on Apple TV’s streaming TV platform, and Steve Carrell plays a role that is eerily similar to Lauer’s.
Carson Daly, NBC – $40 Million
Carson Daly appears to have been born to be a presenter since, in addition to a great voice, he has a lovely and endearing face. In the early 2000s, he worked as an MTV VJ and a radio DJ. Eventually, NBC hired him to host the show Last Call with Carson Daly. After earning around $10 million per year, his income grew to $40 million. Daly is best known today as the host of The Voice and the orange room anchor of The Today Show. It’s fortunate that his job pays well, especially since he just had his fourth child with wife Siri in 2020.
