Safe Return
After it got its fill of the food that was offered to it, the fox returned to sleep. It continued to doze off until they got to the shore. The noise made it panic again, so Mallory tried to keep it calm. Sadly, it was too noisy for comfort. Mallory tried to talk to it in a soothing voice. She hoped that this would keep the animal calm enough until they could finish the process of docking the boat.

She had been sitting near the makeshift bed, talking to it the entire time. Of course, she knew that it was not going to understand her. However, she thought that the tone of her voice would help make it feel calmer. What she needed to do was to stay still until they could dock and then disembark.
