Nadia Comăneci – Now 60 years old
Nadia Comăneci became a household name after dominating the Olympic gymnastics scene in the 1970s and 1980s. Comaneci won five Olympic gold medals during her long career. She was also the first gymnast to obtain a perfect 10.0 score in 1976. You guessed it! She was only 14 years old at the time! She also became somewhat of an icon after defecting to the United States after fleeing totalitarian Romania. She is currently a dual citizen of both nations and spends the majority of her time working with organizations for children in her home country.
Cathy Rigby – Now 69 years old
Cathy Rigby rose to prominence as an American artistic gymnast who competed in the Olympics from the late 1960s to the early 1970s. She did not, however, become a star athlete because she only won a silver medal at the 1970 World Championship. She retired in 1978 and changed jobs to become a theater actor. She is best recognized for her Broadway performance as Peter Pan. She also repeated her part in an adaption of the play in 2018, which is fairly impressive for a 67-year-old. Cathy also co-owns a production firm with her husband, McCoy Rigby Entertainment.
