Our hearts were warmed beyond measure by the stories of kind and compassionate instructors that were shared. After all, who could have been unmoved by what these professors accomplished? In our next story, the teacher wasn’t quite so considerate as in the previous ones we’ve discussed, which leads us to our following example. When Kamdyn Piland returned home from school with tears in his eyes and a distressed expression on his face, his parents were concerned. Although his teachers were attempting to figure out what was wrong with the young boy, the 2nd-grader attempted to make light of the situation and shrug it off. The teacher’s harsh remark was scribbled on a piece of paper, and his parents kept asking him what was hurting him until he finally handed the piece of paper over to them.
Criticism That Isn’t Helpful
Chris, Kamdyn’s father, read the note and immediately knew that it was not a nice thing to read, especially because it came from a teacher! His son looked to have been the target of a personal assault in the note! In the same way that any father would not let a disparaging remark made at their child pass, he was not going to let this one pass too. A Regular Kid
Kamdyn, according to Chris, is no different from any other kid. He exhibited no signs of hyperactivity or addiction to computer games, television shows, or overindulging in confectionery. When Kamdyn’s family discovered the derogatory comments Kamdyn’s instructor had scribbled on his homework, they were taken aback.
