What Happened
Mrs. Nabors was curious as to whether or not the puppy belonged to her student and how he had ended up in the bag in question. The small girl responded innocently, stating that her mother had most likely packed him in her bag along with her lunch pail. That, believe it or not, is exactly what transpired in this case. The girl’s mother was preoccupied with something else that morning as she rushed to get ready for work. She somehow managed to pick up the poor dog, mistaking it for something that her daughter would require for school…
What Happened

The dog had been adopted as the class mascot by the students, and he was quite well behaved. He, on the other hand, was unable to stay. The puppy needed to be returned to his home, where he would have access to food, water, and a bed. The classroom isn’t exactly the most conducive atmosphere for a canine companion. Mrs. Nabors made contact with the young girl’s mother and informed her of the puppy’s arrival. Needless to say, when the mother realized what she had done, she was shocked and mortified to the extreme. Even though Mrs. Nabors had arrived at the school to pick up both her daughter and the puppy, she wanted to complete one last task before they departed.
