Nancy, believe it or not, does not believe she has done anything particularly noteworthy in her life. Years ago, one of her friends made the decision to donate her kidney to another member of her church. Nancy recognized that Darreld’s altruistic effort was becoming a vital part of his life voyage, and this had inspired her to assist Darreld in his endeavor. Nancy considered donating her own kidney to be an anticipated service, and she believes that people should do the same for one another whenever possible. It is interesting how heroic acts can spur on additional heroic acts to be performed.
