We don’t know if there’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but there is a golden line that runs right to it! The lighting in this shot is beautiful, with the photographer capturing a wonderful golden light reflecting off the asphalt. Pole vaulting is a challenging sport that takes a great deal of thought and strength. And what does power entail? Obviously, energy! While attempting to travel through the air on a frail pole, one may anticipate someone’s face to display evidence of extreme effort. This is not the case in this photograph. This unhappy woman was unable to sleep the night before her tournament. She’s floating through the air, yawning as though she doesn’t mind the jump; she’s ready for a nap! We’re just grateful that one of the photographers got this amazing snap before she fell asleep.

One of the friends does a vertical leap, while the other dives into the sand. And the photographer clicks, snaps, snaps away at the same time as both of these folks move. We’ve only just mastered our child’s position, and it’s basically just gripping the ground! The parts of this image all work together to create some extremely lovely imagery. In the distance, the out-of-focus bridge above the shimmering blue sea sets the tone. Then there’s these two ladies, who are both in terrific shape and nailing this pose! The frog in this image looks like it came from a Star Trek episode. He leaps up and away…into the night! No, we’re not kidding; he’s fine. While it may look that the photographer used special effects to make this shot, it was simply a matter of timing and good fortune! Strangely, we had this exact same experience at summer camp. We were on a trail ride when the girl on the horse ahead of ours pulled the reins too tightly and backed into our horse, who reared, and we both ended up in the hospital that day! This horse had most likely had enough of being ridden and decided it was time to retire. Believe us when we say that getting reared off a horse is excruciatingly painful! Also, don’t be alarmed – the horse is fine.

We must admit that we are baffled by what we see in this image. That unusual trail over the plains appears to have been left by the plane, correct? However, when you examine the perspective of this shot, things start to become strange. Is there a rear-facing camera mounted on this plane’s wings? Inverse Dive Oops
We’d seen something similar happen before, at a neighborhood pool when we were swimming with some friends. When a girl who looked like the one in the photo was practicing inverse dives, she made a mistake. To put it gently, the end result was… gruesome! Standing at the edge of a diving board, facing away from the water, an inverted dive is conducted. They leap backward and flip their bodies, allowing them to enter the water facing the opposite direction they started. It’s a pretty cool trick, but it’s also clearly dangerous. We’re sticking with cannonballs!

The photographer captured this image just as the ball was passing from one arm to the other! Was he planning on taking this photo, or did it just happen? If that’s the case, we’re overjoyed. We’re not sure why this was one of our favorite games as youngsters. When we were youngsters, we were so easily amused. After all, Jenga involves stacking wooden blocks on top of one other and then removing them piece by piece until it collapses, at which time you cry “Jenga!” at the top of your lungs. Why were we so enthusiastic about it? In this kid’s defense, the enormous edition of the game appears to be far superior to the standard little one. Except when you’re four, getting slapped in the face with a heavy block of wood might hurt.

We like them, but the idea of touching tongues with someone who has just licked their buttocks bothers us. But the dog couldn’t help himself! Raise your hand if you grew up in a cold climate where it rained all winter! If you’re anything like us, you recall skidding on ice while sipping hot chocolate and sliding down your backyard hill. Hint: it’s excruciatingly painful! But, if your mothers were anything like some of ours, you were already clothed in three pairs of padded snow pants, so it didn’t hurt as much.
