Inverse Dive Oops
We’d seen something similar happen before, at a neighborhood pool when we were swimming with some friends. When a girl who looked like the one in the photo was practicing inverse dives, she made a mistake. To put it gently, the end result was… gruesome! Standing at the edge of a diving board, facing away from the water, an inverted dive is conducted. They leap backward and flip their bodies, allowing them to enter the water facing the opposite direction they started. It’s a pretty cool trick, but it’s also clearly dangerous. We’re sticking with cannonballs!
