When first stepping foot on a college campus, students need to navigate the new terrain. Many struggle with weight gain during their four years at University. With late-night study sessions, frat parties and endless choices, overeating is unavoidable.

Don’t Drink Your Calories
Although sugary drinks like soda and juices are tasty, they are loaded with calories. Stick to water and if you need a little sweet, add slices of fresh fruit to your cup.

Fruits and vegetables should be included in every one of your meals. Nutritionist Joan Salge Blake says, “eating a salad or vegetable soup before your lunch or dinner has been shown to help cut back on the calories consumed at the meal.”
Walk Whenever You Can
Avoid cabs and the bus- get some exercise by walking wherever you go.
